Work with the attorney, not a paralegal.
When you hire our firm, you hire an attorney, not a paralegal. You will get personal attention and will work and communicate directly with the attorney every step of your case.
Paralegals are not licensed, so the term “paralegal” is used loosely. In some law firms, a paralegal may be just a glorified receptionist or a secretary with no prior legal background. In others, a paralegal may hold a degree in paralegal studies and/or have specialized legal knowledge, training, and experience.
Paralegals are supposed to work under the supervision of the attorneys. Very often, however, attorneys heavily rely on paralegals and sign off on documents prepared by them with no or little review. That is how mistakes made by paralegals become part of the attorney’s work product. Sometimes, these mistakes can be very costly and result in delays in resolution of a case.
At Anna Handy Law Firm, P.A., the attorney, not a “paralegal”, will review, analyze, and prepare your case, whether it is a personal injury demand for settlement or a lawsuit, a bankruptcy petition with schedules or an immigration petition/application package. So, you can be rest assured that your case is handled and prepared competently and in a though manner.
Save on attorney fees.
You are much more likely to succeed when you are represented by counsel. We are more likely to succeed as a business when we have clients. So, we offer flat fees that are reasonable for a client to have access to counsel and fair enough for us to render the necessary legal representation.
In each case, we strive to get the work done in a cost-effective way to save our clients’ money on attorney fees and keep more money in their pocket.
In personal injury cases, we reduce our fees to 25% of settlement compared to the customary 33-40% charged by other lawyers.
In bankruptcy and immigration cases, our attorney fees are on the lower side of the range, if not the lowest.
Get value, not billable hours.
We get our clients mostly by word of mouth. A single happy client can result in many referrals. So, we strive to deliver competent work in each case for as little money as practical. To meet this goal, we offer flat fees so that we can focus on the work and not on the billable hours. Our flat fees are case specific, so the clients pay us only for what they need.
Law firms that bill by the hour typically charge their clients for everything they do in relation to their case. Most lawyers bill in increments of 0.1 hour (6-minute increments). So, clients may get billed for a quick phone call or review of an email. With hourly billing, it is very easy for clients to run up substantial bills.
If you retain our firm, you will have no hidden fees, costs, or surprise bills – you will get a straightforward number before you choose to proceed with our representation.
Get an ambitious attorney.
We have passion for the law and helping others. We feel personally rewarded and motivated when we produce positive outcomes for our clients using our knowledge, skills, and drive, which pushes us to work harder and perform better. We view challenges as an opportunity to learn more, grow, and to excel in the practice of law.
When hiring an attorney, be aware that the longer the attorney have been practicing, the more worn out, disenchanted, and/or entitled they become. They may start doing less, expect more, and take they clients for granted.
We value the trust the clients place in choosing firm and we are committed to meet and exceed their expectations by providing competent, yet affordable, representation. We focus on quality, not quantity as we are building long-term relationships with our clients. Happy clients make us happier, more energized and motivated to grow.
